Frequently Asked Questions about Dream Role

What if I can’t sing?

You can submit anything from a song to a monologue, scene or even a poem if it suits your fancy.  The sky is the limit.  That’s why it’s your dream role!

How long does each performer get on stage?

Each piece should run about 10-minutes in length from top to bottom.

What should my story be about?

It should reflect the emotion you feel about the piece you’ll perform.  Why did it speak to you?  What were you going through in your life at the time?  Think about any connections between the song/movie/play and your life.  And remember to bring out the humor and the heart!

What if I haven’t performed in a while?

All of our performers rehearse with us and our pianist, Frank, so that everyone takes the stage feeling like a star.

Will the show be videotaped?

Every show is videotaped and the pieces are then put up on our YouTube page.  If you’d rather not have your piece taped that’s perfectly fine!
